BTX Treatment in Singapore for Wrinkle Removal

BTX, also known as Botox, is made by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum, also the first injectable botulinum toxin used by aesthetic doctors for wrinkle removal and reduction of facial creases.

BTX treatment is used in both medical and cosmetic fields for its benefits. It is an FDA-approved medical treatment for health issues like involuntary blinking, excessive sweating and even, an overactive bladder.

When aesthetic doctors use BTX correctly and adequately, it can help in the reduction or removal of wrinkles, resulting in a less tired and more youthful appearance.

How does BTX Treatment work?

When injected into specific muscles, BTX helps to relax, weaken, and diminish the muscles’ activities. Since the muscle cannot contract, this helps to soften and reduce the appearance of wrinkles.

Our BTX treatment in Singapore targets dynamic wrinkles such as glabellar frown lines (that appear when you frown), crow’s feet (that appear when you laugh), and forehead lines (that appear when you raise your eyebrows). It can also help to reduce the appearance of gummy smiles (a smile that shows more gumline than usual), downturned lip corners, bunny lines (fine lines that appear on either side of your nose when you wrinkle it), and fine lines under the eyes and neck bands.

How is BTX Treatment done?

BTX Treatment for Wrinkle Removal is a quick and fuss-free process. It usually requires only a few minutes, with no anaesthesia needed. Our aesthetic doctors in Singapore will take note to inject the BTX correctly and adequately, to ensure the longevity and efficiency of the treatments you receive.

What are the side effects of BTX?

Some common side effects after a BTX treatment may include bruising, mild pain or swelling around the injection site, weakness in muscles nearby, headache or a general unwell feeling.

Typically, most people do not experience side effects. Side effects will usually go away on their own within 48 hours. One should consult their aesthetic doctor should side effects persist.

Who should or should not get BTX treatment?

Our BTX treatment is encouraged for those who are looking to age gracefully or for those who are looking to maintain a youthful appearance in Singapore, as it helps to reduce the appearance of facial creases and wrinkles for a softer look. The effects of each Botox injection can last 3 to 6 months, depending on how skillful the aesthetic doctor is.

Anyone who is pregnant, breastfeeding, or has a neurological disease should not use Botox. BTX does not work for all types of wrinkles, so if you are unsure if BTX treatment is suitable for you, check with our aesthetic doctor first.

BTX Treatment and Consultation

As a cosmetic procedure, BTX treatment can be useful for wrinkle removal and reduction of facial creases and jawline.
