Who is eligible for the Sinopharm vaccine?
The Sinopharm vaccine comprises 2 doses，administered with an interval of 3 weeks, and is eligible for individuals who fulfill the following requirement:
- Above 18 years old
Guidelines on the Sinopharm vaccine:
The World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Strategic Advisory Group of Experts (SAGE) on Immunisation have also recommended that immunocompromised people, including those over 60 years of age, be given a third dose of Sinopharm or Sinovac vaccine, due to their higher risk of breakthrough infections after standard immunisation.
The Ministry of Health (MOH) has also indicated that three doses of the Sinopharm or Sinovac vaccine are required for good protection.
The third dose of the Sinopharm or Sinovac vaccine should be received 90 days from the second dose.
